Morgan Brian - USA Soccer Team
Morgan Brian plays the position of midfielder and will be making an appearance for the U.S. Women’s World Cup Team. Her hometown St. Simon’s Island in Georgia has a very strong soccer culture. While growing up Morgan was forced to play against kids that were several years older than her.
Morgan played for the Virginia Cavaliers in college from 2011 to 2014. In the 2015 NWSL Draft, the Houston Dash took Brian with the 1st overall pick. Brain played there from 2015 to 2017, until she was traded to the Chicago Red Stars. During her years playing in Houston, she missed a large percentage of the first two seasons as she participated in the FIFA Women’s World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games. Brian has suffered various minor injuries throughout her career, but we are all hoping for good health as she is a dynamic and game changing player when healthy.
Notable Career Highlights:
- 2013 & 2014 MAC Hermann Trophy Winner
- 2014 U.S. Soccer Young Female Athlete of the Year
- 2013 Honda Award Nominee
