Jessica McDonald
Jessica McDonald plays the forward position and will be making an appearance for the U.S. Women’s World Cup team. She is a proven scorer that will be an addition to the World Cup team. Jessica always had a dream to make the National Team which she did in 2016. Her inspiration to continue chasing her dreams and never give up is her son, Jeremiah.
McDonald played for Phoenix College and the North Carolina Tar Heels. During her time at North Carolina, her team won the national championship in 2008. Jessica was selected with the 2nd pick (fifteenth overall) in the 2010 WPS Draft by the Chicago Red Stars. She has also played for teams such as the Melbourne Victory FC, Portland Thorns, Houston Dash, and the Western New York Flash (Now rebranded to the North Carolina Courage). McDonald is a two-time NWSL Champion, winning 2016 and 2018.
