Christen Press - U.S. Soccer Team
Christen Press plays the forward position and will be making an appearance for the U.S. Women’s World Cup Team. Press’s natural ability to score and to be creative on the field makes her a dangerous threat towards defenses. Whether Christen starts or comes off the bench, she as the ability to score from the left or right, and she is a well-rounded striker this team will need in order to possibly win the World Cup.
Christen played for the Stanford Cardinal’s during her college career. Press broke school records for career points (183), goals (71), assists (41), and shots (500) among other records as well. There she earned the Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy as well as many other awards. Christen was drafted with the 4th overall pick by the Washington Freedom/magicJack. She also played for the Kopparbergs, Tyresö, and the Chicago Red Stars. Press currently plays for the Utah Royals.
