Becky Sauerbrunn is an American soccer player who plays as a defender for the United States Women’s National Soccer Team& National Women’s Soccer League. Moreover, she also co-captainsthe United States’ Women National Team. Her outstanding performance in FIFA women’s world cup & Summer Olympics has made her much popular among people. Born in the year 1985 in Missouri, Becky Sauerbrunn is the daughter of Jane Sauerbrunn & Scott Sauerbrunn. From the beginning, her parents were very supported about her decision of choosing sports as a career.

Becky attended Ladue Horton Watkins High School then she enrolled herself to the University of Virginia where she took part in Virginia Cavaliers. In the year 2008, she played for the United States national team for the first time. As of now, she has played around 158 matches for the national team. She has played two FIFA Women’s World Cup, in the year 2011 and 2015. She is an Olympic gold medalist and represented United States in 2012 Summer Olympics held in London. She has joined KC Kansas city in the year 2013, and there she won two NWSL Championships& earned the title of NWSL Defender of the year.

In the year 2016-18, she co-captained the women’s national team. She is a celebrated player whohas been admired both by coaches and teammates. She is considered as one the best defender in the world, and she has become the quintessential part of the USA women’s team. Apart from soccer, she has a keen interest in swimming & video games.
